Aviation Projects reviewed safety risk for an aircraft operator considering a new operation in the Torres Strait.

Several aerodromes were having aerodrome ground lighting systems installed with a view to enabling night operations.

 The review involved physical inspections of the aerodromes to assess compliance with applicable standards, consideration of management arrangements and an assessment of risk associated with the intended operation.

The findings served to enable informed decision-making by the aircraft operator.
