ERM has been working with Aviation Projects for over three years on various wind farm development projects, with positive tangible results for our business and, more importantly, for our clients. The industry leading expertise, level of professionalism and meticulous attention to detail delivered by Aviation Projects are a reflection of the high standards that they set for themselves. The client’s desired outcomes are always of the highest consideration and adherence to standards and regulations are paramount.
I highly recommend Aviation Projects to any business that needs to identify and address potential aviation safety impacts in order to secure a development approval.
Aviation Projects is providing support to Archerfield Airport Corporation in securing approval for, and delivering, Project AIM (Airside Infrastructure Modernisation).
The project comprises alterations to the main runway and upgrading of associated taxiways and other aviation infrastructure.
As set out in the Preliminary Draft Major Development Plan which has just been on public exhibition, a special lighting configuration has been designed at each runway end to enable starter extensions and therefore maximise the amount of runway available for take-off.
The current Manual of Standards Part 139 does not allow for starter extensions, so Aviation Projects prepared a safety case in support of an application to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to proceed with the non-standard arrangement.
