Aviation Projects provided expert advice and guidance on a range of matters including the preparation of initial demand forecasts and scope of aircraft operations, concept layouts, concept airspace and aircraft flight paths and consideration of various other planning and operations matters. They have also provided advice on aeronautical infrastructure requirements and costs and operational advice on a variety of matters. Aviation Projects was able to assist with the introduction and ongoing operation of B747-800F aircraft by preparing a safety case that was approved by CASA.

Aviation Projects provided a relief Airport Manager for Emerald Airport. This role involved providing an experienced airport management professional for a period of three months with operational responsibility for safety, security, compliance, management of staff and contractors and interaction with aviation stakeholders.
The relief Airport Manager was responsible for:
- Management and oversight of the day to day operational activities of the airport including supervision of direct reporting staff
- Oversight and input into current projects including soon to be advertised tenders
- Input into monthly Council management reports
- Attend any relevant weekly or monthly meetings regarding operations, strategy and finance and report directly to the General Manager Commercial Services.
