Aviation Projects is committed to conducting business with integrity, professionalism, and accountability. Our policies reflect the standards and principles that guide the way we work with clients, partners, stakeholders, and the communities we serve. They are designed to support safe, ethical, sustainable, and transparent operations across all aspects of our business.

Sustainability

Aviation Projects delivers innovative solutions to complex aviation problems. We have a responsibility to
ourselves, our clients, our business partners and the community to embed sustainable practice in how we
operate.

For us, sustainability means:

  • Developing our people: We connect our people with a safe, diverse and rewarding career path. Our
people feel valued and secure in their workplace.
  • Contributing to our world positively: We care by minimising our ecological impact through resource
efficiency and nature conservation initiatives and by supporting communities through development
    and involvement in community programs.
  • Demonstrating good governance: We commit to our values and policies. This is reflected in the way
we manage our business and interact with our clients and our people.
  • Managing our risk profile: We understand our risk appetite and manage our business to maximise
opportunities by identifying and managing material risks to an acceptable level in accordance with a
    risk management framework.
  • Assisting clients in being more sustainable: We create opportunities for our clients to enjoy prosperity
and achieve sustainability goals with innovative ideas that embrace our sustainability principles. We
have made a group-wide commitment to foster sustainable business practices which are enabled by:
    • Monitoring, reporting and verifying key business performance targets
    • Working with stakeholders to enhance sustainable business practices
    • Continuing to improve resource efficiency
    • Providing leadership through ongoing research and industry engagement.

Artificial Intelligence

Aviation Projects is committed to ensuring any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the buisiness remains safe, ethical, and responsible.

At Aviation Projects, we use AI responsibly to support productivity, improve consistency, and enhance the quality of our services. AI is used as a tool to assist our consultants, not to replace professional judgement, regulatory expertise, or accountability.

Our approach to AI is guided by recognised good practice, including AS ISO/IEC 23894:2023, the Australian Government's Guidance for AI Adoption, and the Voluntary AI Safety Standard.

Our AI Principles

  • Safety first: AI must not increase safety, regulatory, or quality risks
  • Human accountability: Responsibility for all advice, deliverables, and decisions remains with our qualified consultants
  • Human oversight: AI-generated content is reviewed and validated before use
  • Transparency and auditability: AI-assisted work must be explainable, reviewable, and auditable.
  • Data protection: AI use must protect client information, confidential data, and privacy.

AI may be used to support activities such as:

  • Editing structure of non-sensitive documents
  • Internal research summarisation
  • Meeting notes and action tracking
  • Training and educational material development
  • Marketing and communications content

These tools help improve efficiency and consistency while allowing our consultants to focus on higher-value analysis and professional judgement.

AI is never used to:

  • Make safety-critical decisions
  • Determine regulatory compliance
  • Provide final regulatory interpretations
  • Make legal, contractual, or financial commitments
  • Replace expert aviation judgement
  • Operate as an unsupervised decision-making system.

Final decisions and accountability always remain with qualified Aviation Projects personnel.

Human Review and Quality Assurance

All AI-assisted work undergoes human review before it is used internally or provided to clients.

Where advice relates to aviation safety, regulatory compliance, contractual matters, or client-facing deliverables, additional verification and professional oversight are applied. AI-generated information is validated against authoritative sources where appropriate.

Information Security and Data Protection

Protecting information is a fundamental requirement of our AI governance approach.

We use approved AI tools within controlled environments and apply security measures including access controls, data governance processes, and information management requirements. Confidential client information is not used in AI systems.

Continuous Improvement

As AI technology evolves, Aviation Projects continually reviews its policies, controls, and practices to ensure AI remains aligned with industry expectations, regulatory requirements, and our commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism.

Our commitment is simple: AI may support our work, but expert aviation judgement, professional accountability, and client trust remain at the core of our buisiness.
