AP After Hours - Sharna Tonkin's passion for Digital Indigenous Art

Aerodrome Reporting Officer Sharna Tonkin, is passionate about her Indigenous heritage and displays an incredible talent for Digital Indigenous Art.

Sharna's artwork is beautifully unique and often features First Nations Peoples and their respective Totems. So special is this artwork, that one of Sharna's pieces was purchased by the Torres Shire Regional Authority after featuring in the Gab Titui Cultural Centres' annual art competition.

Sharna discovered she had a passion for digital Indigenous art whilst attending the Institute of Koorie Education at Deacon University in Geelong. Sharna's artwork was also exhibitioned at the Koorie Heritage Trust in Melbourne.

Sharna now enjoys creating beautiful pieces in her spare time and sharing them via her personal social media account.

We are grateful to Sharna for sharing her passion for Indigenous culture and we embrace the opportunity to celebrate her heritage.
